Gloves for Winter Flying with Your iPad, GTN, or Other Touchscreen

Winter starts officially in a couple of weeks, but it’s already cold enough to wear gloves in the cockpit. Those of us who use iPads and touch-screen avionics (like the Garmin GTN-series navigators) have a problem, however. Conventional gloves block the electrical signals that make the capacitive touchscreens respond to touches and gestures.

Fortunately, several manufacturers offer gloves with fingertips that make them compatible with capacitive touchscreens.
